Transmog Tuesday: Nightmare Corrupted Hunter

Hello and welcome to Transmog Tuesday, an occasional series of posts in which I share some of my transmogrification ideas. It’s been a while since I last wrote hasn’t it? Well, a lot has happened these past few weeks. I’ve moved to a new house, which explains why my blogging activity has been interrupted, but most things are settled now (well, sort of).

More recently, I’ve taken part in a Legion art contest hosted on Twitter by Blizzard Watch columnist Magdalena. For my entry, I sought to explore a different and less approached theme and soon the brainstorming led me to the Emerald Nightmare. This is one of the things I’m most excited for in the next expansion (apparently more than Demon Hunters), as I’ve been wishing to see more of the Emerald Dream ever since I started playing back in 2008 and found the portal in Ashenvale.

New Hunter Pet Families and Models in Legion – Mechanicals, Scalehide, Oxen and more

Exciting times for all Hunter pet collectors! New tameable creature families have been added to the Legion Alpha last Friday, which include long time wishes such as kodos, stegodons and shoveltusks. While there still seem to be a few issues with some of these models, most of them have already been confirmed by Alpha testers to be indeed tameable.

Please bear in mind that I don’t have Alpha access, so this post is based on information I’ve been reading on many other sources. This is most probably why this post comes a little late, even though I have also been busy IRL, but thought I’d make a little compilation anyway!

Disclaimer: this post contains spoilers for the next World of Warcraft expansion, Legion. Proceed at your own risk.

Today, we are taking a little break from Hunter themes to focus on a different subject.

From what I’ve seen from the Legion Alpha, the Broken Isles are looking amazing. I think it’s even safe to assume that we might be about to get the most beautiful WoW expansion ever in terms of scenery. But while all of the zones in the main land of the Broken Isles are starting to look quite polished, there is one zone which doesn’t, at all. And this has been troubling the WoW community for months now.

Thal’dranath was first announced during the Blizzcon 2015 ‘Legion World and Content’ panel as a zone which will become available a bit later in the expansion, located in the southeastern end of the Broken Isles. No more information about this island has been provided by the devs for now. There is absolutely no idea of what exactly is going on there in terms of concept and lore, as this is the first time we hear the name ‘Thal’dranath’ in the history of Warcraft.
